This month, we’re talking all about friendships – the good, the bad, and the ugly.
I truly believe that you’re only as strong as your village. But I don’t want to assume that everyone has one.
Before we jump into talking about friends, I want you to do a little exercise:
- Write down the names of 2-3 people (they can be family, also!) that you consider your people – they’re part of your circle. These are people that can see you ugly cry, that will call you to the carpet when you’re outta pocket, and people who will have the bail money ready without asking any questions. Note: This may be a very small group.
- Next, write down 2-5 people that are part of your crew. These may be people you don’t always talk to every day, but they’re down to grab brunch with you. They’re good for laughs and keep you in touch with others.
- Now that you’ve written down the names see who needs to move from your circle to your crew and vice versa. To be honest, everyone can’t be in the circle, nor can everyone be in the crew. Do your best to decide where people belong.
It takes work to find good friends and work to be a good friend – and it can get quite hard when you’re an adult. I’ll talk all about that next week.
Always speak life,
⭕️ Take some time to think about your circle and your crew
