About Vannesia

My name is Vannesia – it’s pronounced similar to “Vanessa”, but with an extra kick!

By day (and night) I’m a marketing / small business consultant and speaker. On any given day you can find me speaking to a crowd of creatives, advising small business owners on their goals, blogging, on a webinar, or creating content. (Saying “consultant” just sounds easier, right?).

I’ve spoken in front of thousands of people, turned a tweet into a job offer, received recognition beyond my wildest dreams, and have even had my work featured in publications that I still admire to this day. But trust me, it didn’t start out like that. Every chance I get, I make sure to dispel the myth of “success” because I believe everyone has a story and some chapters never get read aloud. And by God’s grace, I’m trying to remain focused on what really matters, which can be hard to do in the industries I am in.

I live in a marketing world every day. A world where “likes” and “follows” dictate our perceived clout.  But, marketing isn’t all that I do nor is it who I am. As a matter of fact, I’m super multi-passionate and if you’re here, I bet you are too, because we creatives tend to travel in packs like that.

From being a musician for 20 years, to working in the music industry, to quitting my job, to starting an agency, to getting my masters degree…you can say that I’ve had my share of adrenaline rushes. I once thought all these passions were disjointed, until I realized they were the foundation of my purpose.

You see, I get excited about helping you reach your potential. I believe that God gives us passions to fulfill on this earth and that nothing is off limits with Him. If you can speak it, you can do it — can I get an “Amen”?

I am wired to help the multi-passionate overachiever: The savvy business executive who can run the entire office in heels, but isn’t confident enough to ask for her raise. The busy solopreneur who wants to scale up her marketing, but “doesn’t have the time” because she’s all things to everybody. The recent college grad who blogs on the side with hopes of one day getting paid for her ideas. That’s who I’m here for. If I can save you a bit of time and/or worry just by this blog, then its purpose is served.

And if you can relate to any of that, then you’re in the right place.

I create content with you in mind. With videos, blog posts, marketing tips, podcast interviews and more, consider this your motherland when you want to level up or even when you need that little extra push to do the thing you were put on this earth to do.

Eventually I will offer some products or services, but even if you never spend a dime here, know that you and your dreams are welcome to stay. This is a safe space and somewhere for us to connect – so kick your feet up and relax. Be sure to leave a comment on any blog posts that resonate with you so we can start this conversation! I grew up as the daughter of a Pentecostal preacher so I’m all about talking back.
